Terms of Service

The rules for using Teamopia, sharing with your team, and managing your account and subscription.

1. About these terms

These terms govern access to Teamopia’s website and team-building platform, operated by Pablo Miceli in Argentina (“Teamopia”, “we”, or “us”). They apply when you create an account or use the service. If you do not agree, do not use Teamopia. A separate written agreement with your organization takes precedence where it expressly conflicts with these terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Accepting these terms does not replace any separate consent required for processing personal information.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into an agreement to use Teamopia. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Provide accurate account information, keep your authentication methods secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Each person should use their own account. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Google, Microsoft, and other authentication providers have their own terms for the accounts they provide.

3. Organizations and team participation

Teamopia offers shared spaces, activities, games, calendars, and other features for teams. Organization administrators can invite and remove members, manage teams, moderate content, and configure available features. Depending on permissions and the plan, they may see participation analytics and audit information.

Organizations are responsible for their invitations, lawful use of member information, and any notices or permissions needed for their team’s participation. Participation metrics describe use of Teamopia and should not be treated as an objective assessment of employee performance.

Choose carefully what personal information you share in profiles, games, posts, or calls. Do not require others to disclose sensitive personal information as a condition of participating in an activity.

4. Acceptable use

Use Teamopia lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

  • Harass, threaten, impersonate, discriminate against, or exploit other people, or share unlawful or abusive content.
  • Upload material that infringes another person’s privacy, intellectual property, or other rights, or share confidential information without authorization.
  • Send spam, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, bypass access controls or plan limits, or disrupt the service.
  • Collect or export other users’ information without authorization, or use the service for surveillance or other unlawful monitoring.
  • Record or redistribute another person’s audio, video, screen, or contributions without the permissions required by law and your organization’s rules.

You can report content using available moderation tools or by contacting us. We may review reported content and take proportionate action, including removing content or restricting access.

5. Your content and permissions

You retain the rights you have in content you submit. You give Teamopia permission to host, store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and support the service, make it available to the audience you choose, and fulfill legal obligations. This permission also allows our service providers to perform those tasks for us.

You must have the necessary rights and permissions for your content, including images of other people. Shared content can remain in a workspace after you leave or delete your account, as explained in our Privacy Policy. The permission above continues for retained content only for those purposes and remains subject to applicable deletion rights.

Uploaded images currently have publicly accessible file URLs. Anyone who obtains a URL may access the image without signing in. Teamopia should not be used to store sensitive or confidential files that require private file access.

6. Plans, payments, and cancellation

Available features, usage limits, and content-retention settings depend on the plan selected by your organization. The pricing page, checkout, and any agreed order describe the applicable price, currency, billing interval, taxes, and included features. Free or evaluation access may have separate limits displayed in the service.

Paid orders placed through Paddle are sold by Paddle as our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle handles payment support and refunds; Teamopia provides the service and product support. The Paddle Buyer Terms govern those transactions. Only an authorized representative should purchase or change an organization’s subscription.

A recurring subscription renews at the interval disclosed at checkout unless canceled before renewal. Authorized administrators can manage cancellation through the available billing controls or customer portal, or contact us for assistance. The cancellation screen or confirmation explains when access changes take effect. Deleting a member’s account or leaving a team does not by itself cancel an organization’s subscription.

Our Refund Policy explains eligibility, request deadlines, how to contact Paddle or Teamopia, and the difference between canceling renewal and requesting a refund. It forms part of these terms and preserves your mandatory rights.

We will give advance notice of material price or subscription changes before they apply to a future renewal, with an opportunity to cancel. A plan change or downgrade can affect limits and retention, so review its consequences before confirming it.

7. Third-party services

Teamopia relies on providers for authentication, hosting, live calls, email, maps, link previews, and payments. External links and integrations may lead to services governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party content or guarantee those services’ availability. Our responsibilities under applicable law remain unchanged.

8. Teamopia’s service and intellectual property

Teamopia’s software, branding, and original service materials belong to their respective owners. Subject to these terms and your plan, you may use the service for your organization’s activities. This does not transfer ownership of the service or grant permission to resell access or use Teamopia’s branding as your own.

We may update features, perform maintenance, or change how the service works. We aim to provide appropriate notice of material changes that affect paid access. No particular uptime, uninterrupted availability, or result is promised unless included in a separate written agreement. Keep copies of information you need outside Teamopia, especially before changing a plan or closing a workspace.

9. Suspension and ending use

You may stop using Teamopia and request account deletion at any time. Workspace access can also end when your organization removes you. Account deletion and retained shared content are described in the Privacy Policy; subscription cancellation is handled separately.

We may restrict or suspend access for material violations of these terms, nonpayment, security risks, or legal requirements. Where practical and appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be necessary to protect people or the service.

If we discontinue the service or end paid access for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will provide reasonable notice where possible and address any unused prepaid service in accordance with the purchase terms and applicable law. Provisions that need to continue after termination, such as accrued payment obligations and permissions for lawfully retained content, continue to apply.

10. Responsibility and your legal rights

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available, without additional implied warranties, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. This does not exclude responsibility that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability for fraud or intentional misconduct.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer, privacy, employment, or other rights that apply to you. Organizations remain responsible for their own workplace decisions and policies.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live. They do not require you to give up access to courts or authorities available under applicable law.

If you have a concern, contact contact@jointeamopia.com so we can try to resolve it. Doing so does not prevent you from exercising legal rights or contacting a competent authority.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. We will publish the revised version with an updated date and provide appropriate notice of material changes before they take effect, except where an immediate change is needed for legal or security reasons. Where required, we will ask for renewed acceptance. If you disagree with a material change, you may stop using the service and cancel renewal, subject to your existing rights.
